The Director of Technology & Data Strategy will be responsible for all systems that contain student, faculty and staff data and will use this data to help school leadership communicate with families and make strategic decisions. This person will work closely with the Vice President of Operations and Head of School to ensure that our technology and data best serves our students, faculty and staff.

Essential functions:

• Oversee all data practices and regularly generate reports and analyze data for school leadership
• Maintain rosters and assist users in accessing CJA’s cloud infrastructure including PowerSchool, Google Apps, Apple School, Clever, Canvas and other EdTech platforms
• Roster all standardized testing platforms including iReady
• Oversee IT Manager to ensure they are managing all student, faculty and staff devices and technology in an organized and effective manner
• Communicate with outside vendors including those who manage CJA’s IT infrastructure including our Windows servers, networking infrastructure and telephony systems
• Create and maintain relevant technology policies and oversee annual technology operating and capital budgets
• Function as a general purpose problem solver and internal technology consultant
• Perform other duties as assigned

The ideal candidate should:

• Have a sincere belief that all children deserve equitable access to a high-quality education
• Have experience administering or using PowerSchool or other similar Student Information Systems
• Be comfortable analyzing and organizing large amounts of data to drive decision-making
• Possess a professional and resourceful style; the ability to work independently and as a team player, to take initiative and to manage multiple tasks and projects at a time
• Possess strong communication skills, especially in communicating complex ideas to non-technical audiences such as faculty, staff or students
• Be detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills
• Be willing to admit a mistake, ask for help and receive feedback
• Actively engage in the life of the school and community
